Beneful Bark in the Park
Beneful Bark in the Park
Billed as 'the best day out for your best mate' Beneful's 'Bark in the Park' everything for a dog and their owners did not disappoint at Victoria Park in Sydney. Hosted by Channel 09's weatherman Steve Jacobs the event was in aid on the Animal Welfare League an organisation that I have a strong affinity for as their ambassador and a volunteer in their shelters. Information stands, exhibitors, pet fashions, an International food village, Free samples of Beneful's massive range of dog foods, Free Hydro Baths and Grooming as well as Pet Portraits both by artists and Photographers brought in practically every man and his dog within coo-ee of the city.
In the middle of the scores of tents and thousands of families was myself and my fellow dog trainer mates Teresa Crich and Sandy Lack. Between us we gave training and behavioural tips to over 500 groups of owners and their dogs whilst putting them through the paces of our obstacle course, which involved agility jumps, flyball jumps, hoops, ramps, bridges, hay bales, tunnels and behaviour performance stations.
It was so wonderful to be part of such a great day to help inform the public on the best ways to care for and enrich the lives of their canine companions. Already having attracted 4,500 people in Brisbane and double that here in Sydney the event continues to roll out in the other capitals over coming weeks, so if you live in the southern capitals make sure you head in to the fun day for you and your furry mates.
