During recent trip to Cairns Dave took some time out to visit the Mareeba Animal Refuge to provide some training advice on the Open Paws training method.

I have spoken many times and written on my personal beliefs that dogs have been breed for specific purposes and always encourage people to choose dogs that suite their lifestyle and breed selection is very important for this, then as owners I advise people utilise the instincts of a dog to maximise his skill set and enjoyment in life. I often get attacked for my position on advising the average dog seeking family not to purchase a Live Stock Guardian Dog or a Dog bred to Fight.

Dave flew up to Cairns to help out the Australian Working Dog Rescue group volunteers to produce a TV Commercial. AWDRI is a non profit organisation who save working dog breeds from being euthanised in council pounds and shelters and find new homes for them. They cover the entire east coast of Australia which encompasses Qld, NSW, Vic and SA.
